    Using mobile phones when driving

Those who use their mobile phone when driving could now receive 6 penalty points on their licence and an on the spot fine of £200.

This change came into effect from the 1st March 2017 and is part of a government clamp down on dangerous driving on UK roads. November 2016 saw British police forces campaign against mobile phone related driving offences and stopped over 10,000 vehicles.
